The 5th Glasgow Contemporary Art Fair takes place at the iconic Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum from May 17 to May 19.

Galleria Luti will be at stand 34 showing work by some of our very favourite artists.


Jim Wylie, Contemporary Scottish Art at Galleria Luti

Jim Wylie, a native of Glasgow, is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art where he studied Drawing and Painting. The care with which the paint is applied to the canvas results in exciting compositions with unusual colour combinations


George Birrell, Contemporary Scottish Art at Galleria Luti

George Birrell trained at the Glasgow School of Art (1967 – 1971) He taught art and design in Scottish schools for the next decade, starting painting full time in 1980. Vigorous handling of colour, a bold palette and strong design are all hallmarks of his painting.


Peter Luti, Contemporary Scottish Art at Galleria Luti

Peter Luti studied ceramics at Duncan of Jordanston College of Art, Dundee, (1966 – 1970) and Goldsmiths College, London. (1971). He later progressed to lecturing in Art and Design before eventually finishing his teaching career as Head of the Expressive Arts at Glasgow University. His work is most recognised for the unusual use of texture and bold colour combinations.


Ian Elliot, Contemporary Scottish Art at Galleria Luti

Ian Elliot graduated from Glasgow School of Art and was head of Art and Design in Glasgow until 1997, thereafter devoting himself totally to painting. Travelling extensively in Europe, he creates landscapes of expressionistic vision and vibrant Mediterranean colour.

We will also be taking a small selection of beautiful hand crafted clocks by wood expert, Archie McDonald, and sculptures by Michael P Young

The fair will be held in a purpose built marquee located conveniently next to the venue's main entrance and will house up to 45 exhibitors offering thousands of pieces of exciting new work.

There will be on site parking, a Cafe (Saturday and Sunday), as well as live painting demonstrations, artist meet and greet and much more.

Friday 17th May 6.00pm – 9.00pm Preview Evening (invitation only)

Saturday 18th May 10.00am – 5.30pm Sunday 19th May 10.00am – 5.00pm

Tickets available on the door. Adults £4.00 – Children Free
