Charlotte Brayley - Glad Tidings, Sir Hare

  • Charlotte Brayley graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2006, and has since exhibited in the Compass Gallery in Glasgow and at the Art Fair in Glasgow. Charlotte's sculptures are now in private collections in Washington D.C, including a life-size sculpture of a lamb and a bust of a sheep). Sheep feature heavily throughout Charlotte's work - from illustrations to sculptures to books.

    Artist Statement

I have eight pet sheep, most I have had from lambs, the others were rescued and they all now vegetate in the fields, sunbathing and eating. But they are also famous sheep. They have earned their early retirement after featuring on Richard and Judy, GMTV and numerous international newspapers/radio stations. In 2004, I spray-painted them for an art project, to deter the attentions of the 'big cats' of Scotland
