Tom Sherry studied at the Glasgow School of Art in the late
1980s. As a specialist in Graphic Design, Tom continued to draw
and paint and began, among other things, to produce traditional
Scottish landscapes. This led Tom to being accepted as a member
of the National Acrylic Painters Association in 1998. In 2002 he
received a HND in Multimedia Design and Production from the
Glasgow College of Building and Printing. At this time Tom also
began tutoring individuals and classes on Basic drawing and
watercolour and with a friend started up a local Art Club in his
home-town of Callander
Tom states:.In addition to painting, my computer skills
led me to some graphic design and illustration work for Absolute
Studios, a BAFTA award-winning company. I worked on two computer
games for children published by the BBC based on their highly
successful shows The Tweenies and Balamory. In the
meantime I work full time as the Supervisor at the local Tourist
Information Centre.
