Sharon was born in Ayrshire in 1946. Art and music quickly became, and still are her first loves. She studied to a teaching level with the A.B.R.S.M., but decided to follow a career in pharmacy. It is accepted that art and science often go hand in hand and Sharon is no exception to this.

Never losing her love of art, Sharon has been attending Falkirk College as a student and has for some time been painting in her own studio.

Since 2003 she has regularly exhibited, throughout Central Region.

Sharon infuses her paintings of Scotland and Italy with natural colour and light, mainly working from sketchbooks and photographs. Oil is her first love, although her watercolour works, of notable Scottish buildings, are in limited edition prints. Her commissioned portrait work is in demand.
