After initially working
in industry, Douglas trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College
of Art and Design, qualifying in drawing and painting.
Following teacher training, he entered Art and Design Education,
holding a variety of posts before retiring in 2001 as National
Development Officer. Since then Douglas has continued to
develop his drawing and painting. He mainly uses acrylics and
mixed media. Other interests include architecture, design and
travel. Douglas lives in Crieff, in Perthshire
