Scottish contemporary painter living in
Edinburgh.
Originally from Fife - a graduate of Edinburgh
College of Art - returned to Fife where he became a Principal
Teacher of Art in Glenrothes High School. Held various posts on
secondment as National Development Officer for Art and Design.
Was Principal Examiner with the Scottish Examination Board.
For the past 15 years has been painting and exhibiting on a
full-time basis.
Subject matter ranges from
Still-Life/landscape/and various aspects of the built and
man-made environment.
Travels in Scotland, Spain, Italy and more recently in British
Columbia, provide the sources for most of the paintings.
Has taken part in a number of group exhibitions
and solo exhibitions in the UK. Work shown at various Art Fairs
- London, Barcelona, New York, Manchester, Glasgow. Limited
Edition prints produced by 'Art from Scotland'.
Paintings purchased by the Scottish Arts
Council, Edinburgh Hospitals Collection, Pitlochry Festival
(Harry Cruden) Collection, Fife Regional Council and numerous
private collections at home and abroad.
Currently showing work in - Leith and Di Rollo
galleries in Edinburgh - Kranenburg Fine Arts in Oban - the
Aberfeldy gallery in Perthshire - Manor House, Red Rag and Dart
galleries in England.
