Fiona Ross Fiona Ross was born in 1939 in London but came up to Scotland to
live in 1972. She took early retirement in 1991, having
worked in libraries in public and private. An Open
University course in the 1970s revived her enthusiasm for
painting, as did several winters of evening classes at Edinburgh
College of Art. Her influences have been; the Scottish
Colourists; Alfred Wallace; the Canadian Group of Seven and
Winslow Homer. Her works have been included in a few mixed shows at such galleries as: Logie Steading, Morayshire, The Leith Gallery, The Braemar
Gallery, Art Forum, Milngavie, The Heron Bistro and Gallery,
Pittenweem, The Little Gallery, Pittenweem, The Jerdan Gallery,
Crail, The Studio Gallery, Inverness, The Ceres Gallery "Meanwhile, I'm working on quite a few commissions and 18 months ago began driving around to galleries again."
