Artist Statement

I make quirky ceramic figures and faces. I also make bold, stylish wearable jewellery.

I am inspired by characters, people, stories and textures.
I grew up in Botswana and was fascinated by women making and being creative. I loved drawing patterns in the earth as a child and now I make marks on clay using found objects to create texture and pattern. My Italian mother also influenced me with her decorative style and her love of the ornate.
